Dr. Vivek Kumar was the first doctor in Lucknow to begin private practice exclusively in dermatology in Alambagh, Lucknow since 1985.
Since 1990, he has devoted 3 hours of his mornings to treating skin patients, 5 days in a week, free of cost. He considers this his “morning pooja.”
He has treated more than 2,75,000 patients without charge and provided free medicines through his personal charity and help from phrama companies. Even at the age of 73, Dr. Kumar continues his humanitarian work alongside his private practice.

Dr. Vivek Kumar started his medical practice in Lucknow in 1985. Inspired by his father, Dr. Ram Krishan, a Padma Shri awardee and social worker, he believes that selfless service is the highest form of religion.
